What is #Connected? |
The #Connected RLC is designed for students who have a passion for the intricate and ever-changing world of communication in social, political and cultural environments. This community will provide a special group of students with the opportunity to truly engage in their first year experience through meaningful relationships with like-minded peers, faculty, and successful alumni. Through an array of purposeful events in a dynamic environment, these students will not only increase their academic success, but they will also have the opportunity to evaluate and identify potential career paths, develop personal skills and discover exciting new interests. In order to further engage with course material, these students will be enrolled in the same introductory course and tutorial, providing them with the opportunity to collaborate and share ideas while deepening their understanding of this complex discipline. |

Why live in the #Connected RLC? |
“I believe that the fact that we are all in the same community helps us with studying and homework. We are always able to help one another when it comes to work. I also found that since we are so alike (i.e. personality and interests) we all tend to get along very well.” “Living on this floor allows me to expand my knowledge by getting more information about the program with my don and floor mates.” 2012-2013 RLC students |
Admission criteria |
Students must be willing to be automatically enrolled in CS100A in the Fall 2013 term and CS101B in the Winter 2014 term, and must agree to remain in each course for the duration of the term. |
